Las Vegas and Beginning in Los Angeles

Hey! I have finally started this blog! First of all, if you haven't read it, I recommend you start with reneessemesterinspain.blogspot.com. It is all about my trip to Spain (and Portugal and Morocco) last semester. I don't have much to say about my time between Spain and going to Las Vegas. It was exactly like I like it. I spent time with friends and enjoyed it a lot. I don't have much to say because this is not my diary, but a documenting of my time here. Like in my Semester in Spain blog, this is not a document containing my complete feelings. There are always more sides to a story.

Um. Las Vegas (The CES show) was AWESOME! I saw Windows 7, played with the new ASUS S101H, and watched the filming of an NBC special. I walked around Las Vegas and saw the Volcano show, ate at at a buffet that I thought was already huge even before I turned the corner and found that I had only seen half of what was there, walked the 3rd biggest mall in the country, saw the Treasure Island show, and stayed in my own hotel room. There is so much more to say, but I want to watch the Mentalist...

As for LA, we live in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with a kitchen, and living room/dining area. I live with 1 roommate and 3 suite mates. I found when I came here that I know NOTHING about film, but there is so much to learn! Currently, I am working on my script to enter it in the competition to get my story filmed. I really want to see it filmed so badly! I won't only see it filmed, but I will also gain some sort of academic reward for having it filmed and will be able to influence the filming for it!!! Having it filmed would be exciting enough, but all of those prizes makes me ecstatic! That is for the Hollywood Production course. I am enrolled here as a screenwriter, so I take a Professional Screenwriting course also. In addition, Theology in Hollywood and an Internship. I have my first internship interview Wednesday.

I made crepes this morning, rolls, onigiri, and octopus weiners earlier this week. Well, gtg. I have to leave for class in 40min and I still want to watch the Mentalist...
